Descripción:The purpose of this text is to deepen and analyze the complex web of factors that lead to the recruitment of girls and adolescents into activities related to organized crime in Mexico, specifically human trafficking. The goal is to go beyond viewing this phenomenon solely as a crime and shed light on its underlying elements. The narrative methodology with a qualitative approach was used due to the challenges of immersing in the context of illegality and violence associated with organized crime. The study involved the use of oral, interactive, and written techniques to gather information, primarily through semi-structured interviews with professionals from legal, institutional, and social work fields. Additionally, written documents were reviewed, and interactive techniques were used to complement the data. The main findings identified the establishment of a recruitment mechanism that exploits the objectification, individualism, and mistreatment of girls, boys, and adolescents to involve them in criminal activities. The recruitment is linked to commercial sexual exploitation, but there is a growing trend of incorporating these individuals into drug trafficking activities, resulting in an intersection of one or more purposes for their recruitment.
