Omschrijving:Abstract: Objective. Evaluate the psychometric properties of the DESIT-17 in Health Sciences students. Method. A total of 287 (M=21.91, SD=4.24) students from Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Psychology at the University of Iberoamérica (UNIBE) participated in the study. Data were collected in July 2023. Results. Confirmatory Factor Analysis provided evidence of validity, establishing four factors (χ2 = 285, df= 111, p < .001; CFI = .950; RMSEA= .074 [.063 - .084], SRMR = .046). Cronbach's alphas were adequate (α= .85-.91). Nomological validity evidence was found with an Academic Satisfaction Scale (ESA) (r= .64, p < .001) and with having considered leaving the program on some occasions (t(285)= -4.35, p < .01). The DESIT-17 demonstrates adequate psychometric properties for measuring academic satisfaction.
