| Diğer Bilgiler: | The document begins with an overview of the Venezuelan education system and the process of curricular transformation at the secondary level. Then, reference is made to the Mathematics books of the Bicentennial Collection (CB), edited by the Ministry of Popular Power for Education within the framework of such reform as school textbooks, conceived under a critical and realistic approach to Mathematics Education. The most relevant results of an evaluative study of these textbooks, carried out by León and Vicent (2015) are presented and discussed following the model of Monterrubio and Ortega (2009), among which stand out as positive elements the natural language accessible to the student, the contextualization of Mathematics and the promotion of values and, as negative aspects, incomplete development of mathematical themes, limitations in formality and mathematical language and, above all, the political intentionality of textbooks. |
