Disgrifiad:The main objective of this article is to define the concepts of act of God and force majeure under the scope of doctrine and our body of laws. It seeks to establish the most important differences to clarify that these two concepts are different from a functional stand and to analyze in depth the fact that they act in different moments of the mandatory juridical relation. It will state in detail that the act of God acts in the analysis of guilt, while force majeure acts in the field of causal nexus. Moreover, it will develop some ideas of modern doctrine on these concepts. The main objective is the help the reader understand the meaning of every concept and their practical application, consider- ing that both are situations where the debtor is exonerated from responsibility.
