| Описание: | The objective of this research is to confirm that the political and cultural formation of Fernández Güell influenced his multiple journalistic and literary works, which are dedicated to the defense of sovereignty, democracy, respect for human life and love for the homeland. The uprising that he attempts against the dictatorship of Federico Tinoco (1917-1919) is based on a strategy of national insurrection. Said uprising (1918), coincided with the five-year anniversary of the assassination of the illustrious Francisco I. Madero, Mexican president and great friend of Fernández Güell, who, with this insurrection, pays tribute to his friend, who died treacherously on February 22, 1913. In this revolutionary strategy, the Pacific Railroad played a fundamental role. However, the insurrection failed due to lack of resources and the terror generated in the various populations by the excesses of the dictatorship. The violent death of Fernández Güell, along with his other companions, Ricardo Rivera, Carlos Sancho, Joaquín Porras and Jeremías Garbanzo was motivated by the dictator's resentments with his old friend. Rogelio Fernández, as a journalist, as a constituent deputy or as a civilian, never silenced his thoughts against the abuses committed in the Tinoco government against democracy and human life. |
