Description:This article proposes to define venezolanity as a singular abstract that describes and names what is Venezuelan through socially constructed and historically changing characteristics expressed via various available discourses. In this regard, it will be argued and demonstrated that, although historical and literary narratives belong to different genres, both offer similar mediations of reality. Finally, we will propose using the critical discourse methods of Michel Foucault and Adriana Bolívar to approach these possible narratives, offering a critical and renewed perspective on narrative identities.
