| Opis: | Juan Manuel Sanchez (1907-1990) is a Costa Rican artist remembered due to his drawings. He was in charged of Luis Ferrero, Lilia Ramos, Emma Gamboa, Carlos Luis Saenz, Fabian Dobles book’s illustrations. The most famous and well-known images are the ones that he made for Cuentos de mi tía Panchita -a children’s short stories book- by Carmen Lyra. This article arises from the paper presented at the III Congress of Humanistic Studies, Art, Culture, Science and Thought and it is desired to show the synthesis in the drawings of women in the different scenes that Juan Manuel Sanchez drew: women in everyday life, women in religious scenes, drawings of erotic scenes of women and women in fantasy scenes. |
