Description:The Lisfranc injury, with an incidence of 0.2%, is a condition characterized by disruption between the articulation of the medial cuneiform and base of the second metatarsal. Injuries can range from mild sprains to severe fracture-dislocations. To make the diagnosis, usually we need to use x -rays or computerized tomography. Ligamentous vs. bony s has treatment implications, some can be surgically fixed injury pattern and others its better to restrain the surgical management Missed injuries can result in progressive foot deformity, chronic pain and dysfunction.
