Descrizione:Since the Criminal Code promulgation, in 1970, eighty laws have been enacted until 2019; they have affected that normative body to a greater or lesser extent, without taking into account the large amount of special legislation that involves the broad spectrum of the State punitive power. Many of these legislative changes have been preceded by a journalistic treatment characterized by oversizing and decontextualization of the crime phenomenon. In this exploratory study is analyzed elements of the journalistic treatment from some important criminal reforms in Costa Rica from two newspapers: “Diario Extra” and “La Nación.”
