Descripción:This article analyzes the processes of exclusion experienced by regional literatures. To this end, we present an overview of some of the historical and literary causes of this problem in Central America, particularly in Costa Rica, where there is a long list of authors who publish nationally and internationally and who have been condemned to oblivion and canonical exclusion. In the analysis carried out, it is determined that regional semiotic systems have been defined and classified from an allosemiotic space in Costa Rican historiography and literary system, precisely because they imply tensions or ambivalences that put the historiographic project called “national literature” in crisis. Finally, we postulate, as a road map, some proposals for thinking, analyzing, and theorizing the significant practices or regional cultural products of the country.
