| Miêu tả: | The thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura, although not very frequent, has a high mortality rate in patients who are not treated in a timely and adequate manner. Therefore, diagnostic strategies and scales have been implemented that help to have a more reliable suspicion for timely initiation of treatment. For this reason, a diagnostic algorithm will be implemented to facilitate its detection by medical personnel. Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura is a pathology that usually has an adequate response to treatment with apheresis and steroids, this pathology has a high rate of recurrence, exacerbation and refractoriness to treatment, which can be up to 50%, therefore, Drugs such as rituximab (anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody) have been investigated, which has been shown to reduce the rate of refractoriness and relapse of this pathology. Taking this into account, it should be kept in mind which drugs can be used in cases of refractoriness and relapse, for which a treatment algorithm will be presented in order to cover cases that do not have a good response to first-line treatment. |
