Descrizione:This paper describes an educational experience developed in a university-level Linear Algebra course at the Costa Rica Institute of Technology, focusing on the study of vectors, lines, and planes. Aiming to strengthen conceptual understanding and critical thinking, the course implemented active methodologies such as Just-in-Time Teaching (JiTT) and Peer Instruction (PI), supported by Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. The work dynamic involved students in random groups who used AI to generate initial solutions for complex exercises, which they then had to critically analyze, correct, and justify. Findings, based on student feedback, reveal a high appreciation for the methodology, highlighting its usefulness for verifying procedures, correcting errors, and obtaining instant feedback. Additionally, the experience promoted the development of validation and critical reasoning skills by confronting the limitations of AI tools. The study concludes that the integration of AI within an active pedagogical structure fosters deeper, more collaborative, and more autonomous learning.
