Descripción:The article refers to the background espitemológico of Education and Educational Technology, in order to understand their theoretical linksrich-explanatory and projections latter application in the teaching-learning process. Subsequently, a brief tour of theepistemological foundation of SciencesEducation, for the purpose of reviewing the complex webdisciplines and theories that nourish the study field of Education. Specifically, the field ofEducation, in charge of the study of the situation andeducational events, takes its epistemological foundationand dominant theoretical paradigms in psychologythroughout the twentieth century. Of those derived frameworkPedagogy action, which arise specific teaching, in which the Educational Technology has multiple roles.Based on the theme of the exhibition, one can conclude that educational technology isenseñazar a tool that can be implemented, depending on the educational paradigmconcerned, ie part of teaching. Itarticle proposes that educational technology can bestudied at two levels: as a discipline and as a teaching tool.
