Descripción:Although the title of this paper is rather broad, the subject matter shall be limited to a review of our knowledge of the energy metabolism of adult Strongylata, and an attempt to draw some conclusions concerning group characteristics from the data now available. Furthermore, some recent studies carried out in our laboratories on Alcylostoma caninum will be compared with data obtained on other Strongylata.
