Descripción:A case is reported of an adult Mexican male who died of heart disease, whose autopsy showed three readdish nodules situated at the level of the intestinal submucosa. In one of the nodules an adult female Ancylostoma duodenale was found. Histologically, the nodules were made up of hemorrhagic, zones and areas of inflammatory reaction containing eggs and larvre of uncinarire. The presence of eggs within the nodules suggests that hookworms survive there for some time, and points to the possibility of internal autoinfection, as is the case in Strongyloides stercoralis.
