Descripción:Through the analysis of texts of some philosophical and literary works of the Spanish writer and thinker Miguel de Unamuno (1864 – 1936), this paper aims to identify some elements of humanist education understood as a process that is interested in the integral formation of people in their specific contexts exercising freedom with dignity, being unique, unrepeatable beings that respect the diversities of all beings that make up the universe. The text’s objective is to take into account reason, emotions, feelings, and all the elements that constitute the human being within education. It is concluded that the main concern of Unamuno is his great interest for human beings to feel and experience the love for educating themselves and their fellow human beings.
