Descripción:The consequences of post-pandemic COVID-19 on mental health are becoming evident worldwide. This study aims to analyze the experiences of students from Arturo Prat University (Chile) regarding their mental health during the pandemic. A phenomenological study was conducted using semi-structured interviews with eight university students aged 20 to 28. The data collected were analyzed using ATLAS.ti software. The results are organized into categories such as emotions and confinement, coping mechanisms, interpersonal relationships, expectations, and family relationships. The findings indicate that the interviewees experienced a deterioration in their mental health, facing emotional distress and fear associated with pandemic confinement. However, some strengths were identified in coping with the stressors of this period. The study discusses aspects of emotion management, the challenges of university life, and emphasizes the need for early intervention, incorporating emotional education and resilience as tools to face adversity.
