Descripción: | The process of implementation of two reference services in the Library of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights is presented in detail through the use of mobile devices and applications. The services implemented are the attention of queries by text message (SMS) and the sending of informational alerts through Whatsapp. Installation details, service testing and implementation policies are addressed. It is concluded that new mobile technologies are giving libraries new possibilities to offer their services, giving the user the ability to use the resources of the information unit without moving physically to the building. These new possibilities do not necessarily require a high budget investment to carry them out. |
