First report of the NDM gene and Detection of OXA-24 in Acinetobacter baumanii at the Hospital Nacional Regional de Santa Ana.

Descripción:This investigation was carried out in one of the most important hospitals in El Salvador. With the intention of identifying the resistance genes of the most isolated bacteria in clinical samples of the Hospital based on the identification by VITEK2 and the detection of Oxacilinasa (OXA) -51 by PCR, for the moment a total of 82 samples have been processed, within the main we discovered the presence of OXA-24 in all Imipenem resistant isolates has been determined, as well as four isolates identified the presence of the NDM ((New Delhi metallo-beta-lactamase) gene.
