Job Satisfaction Among Preschool, Elementary and Secondary School Teachers

Descripción:The objective of this study is to assess how socio-demographic factors impact job satisfaction among teachers. The sample group included 163 teachers (52 males and 121 females) between the ages of 23 – 60 (M=37.40 ± 8.86) in 12 schools located in Murcia, Spain. The study was based on the Teacher Satisfaction Scale (TSS), a survey made up of 32 items grouped together into 5 categories. Although results showed an overall medium-high level of teacher job satisfaction, permanent, part-time Preschool, Physical-Education teachers reported significantly higher scores in their job satisfaction levels.
