Descripción:This study aims to carry out a bibliometric study with which you can identify thematic trends and/or the state of the art of research on community-based tourism. In recent years, attention has intensified on the growth of tourist activity, especially in the displacement of visitors who leave their usual place to meet new places in search of adventure, leisure, rest, research and health care. For this study, the topic (“tourism” and (“community-based tourism” or “traditional communities”)) was selected from the main collection of the Web of Science. 370 documents were found in the period from 1995 to 2021. Studying the keywords, it is possible to highlight that issues related to development, ecotourism, resilience, and inequalities, may suggest that the research agenda starts to seek explanations that can make tourism bring savings through visitors to simpler visitation content, such as community-based content.
