New trends in mexican neo-detective fiction of XXI century

| その他の書誌記述: | This article analyzes the new literary forms that are emerging in Mexican detective fiction of the twentieth-first century. To identify this new narrative that transgresses the parameters established by its predecessor, the neopolicial, we are proposing a new term: the post-neopolicial. As a prototype of this new narrative, we analyze the novels La Mara by Rafael Ramírez Heredia, Yodo by Juan Hernandez Luna, La muerte me da by Cristina Rivera Garza and Muerte caracol by Ivonne Reyes Chiquete. We analyze six predominant characteristics in these novels: structural fragmentation, heightened linguistic sophistication, the inclusion of more complex and highly psychological characters, the decreasing importance of the detective, the decentralization of narrative spaces and the implicit sociopolitical denunciation that is presented by the construction of shocking images and chaotic situations. |
