Opis:This study addresses instructor perception regarding flexibility of the class curriculum at the Art, Education, Humanities and Social Sciences Departments (DES) of the Autonomous University of Coahuila – Saltillo Campus in Mexico. The study employs a model used for macro and microlevel analysis of international and national educational policies, which are described herein. A microlevel analysis of the same policies are classified into three categories – institutional policies, educational programs and instructor perception. The methodology is based on qualitative research and a hermeneutical approach. A randomized sample included fourteen instructors who participated in semi-structured interviews about the study topic. Based on results, it can be stated that the instructors did not truly understand the concept of curriculum flexibility and require further training so as to be able to adapt the curriculum when necessary.
