Disgrifiad:Beyond the limited knowledge of the theorem that bears the name of Pythagoras, this article aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the life and philosophy of Pythagoras. It will present concise reviews that fuse fact and fiction, highlighting his early years of education and his travels to Egypt and Mesopotamia in search of knowledge. Emphasis will be placed on his intellectual development, shaped by the profound influences of his distinguished mentors such as Pherecydes, Anaximander, and Thales of Miletus. Pythagoras had deep beliefs in the cosmos and the immortality of the soul, reflected in his myths and teachings, and how these beliefs led to the establishment of schools that advocated harmony and philosophy. These schools attracted followers known as Pythagoreans, who delved into areas such as music, mathematics, and ethics. Today, his influence remains significant in the annals of philosophy and mathematics, although certain aspects of his life and teachings remain subject to debate, ignorance and mystery.
