Descripción:The relations between Liberia and Rivas (18th and 19th centuries), are an example of the contacts that develop on the borders of the Central American provinces and states. This article tries to introduce a series of themes that can serve as a basis to delve into the daily life of the region that represent the ties developed by these communities. Aspects such as the characteristics of the space, the origin of the towns, the farms, the families, the religion, and the state conflicts demonstrate how, despite the delimitations, Liberia and Rivas maintained their open ties, combining as a cross-border region.
