| Descripción: | Rabindranath Tagore, as he is kown in the Western world, was the first Asian writer to win the Nobel Prize for literature in 1913; his creative ability was not only expressed in literature: he was also an artist and a great philosopher of education. His particular thoughts led him to concrete actions in founding the Shantiniketan School, which later on became the Visha Bharathi university. |
