Descripción: | Sustainable materials are key to promoting environmental awareness and reducing pollution associated with construction. Therefore, the objective of this research was to design a prefabricated bamboo paneling system for walls. Considering bamboo´s high capture of carbon due to its fast-growing plantations. Processing it also implies socioeconomic benefits. Besides, the concept of developing a system for flexible spaces under the principle of sustainability and environmental awareness. The methodology for the design considers matrices to measure the competitiveness of modulation, joints, enclosures, and prefabrication. The results obtained show the versatility of the panels, being detachable, adaptable to different enclosures; and multiple spatial configuration alternatives (from grouping the panels) with simple adaptations. This system is useful for educational and housing spaces. To obtain a preliminary mechanical characterization, scale prototypes were built and tested with Plyllostachys aurea specie, and concludes that the work demonstrates the need for further research and development (R&D). |
