Descripción:This article aims to show through the bibliographic review, how communication is a tool that transforms the teaching-learning process from a virtual-online environment, which allows the construction of collaborative knowledge through pedagogical mediation. Thus, it is essential to recognize that communication is a fundamental process for coexistence with the other. Is a social key that results in the interrelationship of two or more people. In this sense, Duarte (2003), cited by Brönstrup, Godoi, and Ribeiro (2007), mentions that it is a “perceptual phenomenon in which two consciousness share on the border” (p.29). Furthermore, it is a vehicle that encourages the construction of learning through collaboration where closeness and cohesion are the focal point and manages to reduce geographical differences and people distance through a design of interactions (Pérez, 2009).
