Descripción:This document is based on information from researches on social violence that affects preschool, elementary and high school institutions located in Liberia and Santa Cruz cities, in the province of Guanacaste. According to the results, the contribution of art as a strategy stands to promote the right to healthy and nonviolent ways of living during childhood and adolescence. It is concluded that schools should promote a strategic use of activities and artistic expressions to encourage a significant learning and to promote coexistence modes that include a sense of fairness and tolerance in the student population.
