Descripción:The authors in this bibliographic research aim to reflect on the relevance of the sociocultural constructivist approach principles in science learning. In this research, we reviewed the concept of the sociocultural constructivist approach, its characteristics, general principles, and how these are present in science learning. This approach focuses on the student whose knowledge acquisition is carried out through a proper activity of them by considering the relevance of the sociocultural context that surrounds both the teacher and student in the learning process. By investigating this approach, the authors concluded that prior investigation is the best strategy in science learning for constructing new knowledge.
