Descripción: | Plastic Arts’ Basic Stage is a Teaching Extension project attached to the Vice-Rectory of Social Action of the University of Costa Rica. The project focuses on providing spaces for visual literacy, with emphasis on three fundamental axes: appreciation of the visual arts, techniques in the visual arts, as well as the stimulation of creative thinking and cultural experience through art. The objective of this text is to determine the sociodemographic characteristics of the communities participating in the project, from its beginnings in 1985 until 2017. The methodology consisted of documentary collection, theoretical treatment and creation of inputs for the presentation of the analysis. The results show a growth trend in the number of participants, and a decrease in the duration of contact hours; in addition, the pattern of mobilization and permanence of the project in the communities was evidenced. |
