Descripción:Introduction: This paper presents an analysis of typologies, practices, and co-creative methodologies in the development of public artworks applied by the “Poemas Gráficos” project from 2012-2019. Objective: To study public art as a tool to trigger or catalyze processes of cohesion and community participation. Methods: The analysis is carried out through participant observation in different creative processes, literature review, and discussion on the concepts of public art and community art, as well as the analysis of gray literature. Conclusions: Four intervention typologies are proposed, determined by the levels of participation of different actors. Furthermore, these typologies are categorized in a matrix based on contextualization levels with their environment and their orientation towards the process or the artwork as the center. This matrix provides an initial tool to guide related processes.
