Descripción: | The objective of this article is to visualize the philosophical, theological and political positions of one of the greatest thinkers of the political left of the Hispano-American world, Fernando Ignacio Ellacuría. He wrote most of his writings from a focus committed to social justice, human solidarity and compassion for the most excluded and marginalized of society during the last stage of the Cold War. In the midst of the strong political violence that was lived in Central America between the guerrilla struggles of the socialist left and the conservative political movements that relied on authoritarian regimes and violators of Human Rights, Ellacuría was positioned as one of the great intellectuals of the Theology of Liberation and was killed for staying loyal to their cause. |
