| Disgrifiad: | This paper presents the results of the study "Media and Information Literacy in Costa Rican Higher Education: University of Costa Rica’s Case", which has been developed in two phases, between 2017 and 2024. Data shows that 68% of teachers, who answered the questionnaire, were trained in the use of databases of the Library, Documental and Informational System (SIBDI in Spanish) of the University of Costa Rica. Moreover, 63% of the people consulted participated, at least once, in the instructive process of the Mediated Teaching in Informational and Communication Technologies Unit (METICS in Spanish). The web service most used by teachers is email. All the people interviewed acknowledged the need to receive more training, which allows them to develop better pedagogical strategies that incorporate the use of technological devices and computer packages. |
