Descripción:Starting in 2020, activities with older adults changed due to the health situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. This research aims to show the experience of older adults and students with the initiative "Friends at a distance" of the project Promotion of healthy aging and intergenerational solidarity in the communities of Cartago (TC-678). The activity consisted of making telephone calls to those who attended the day center of the Quebradilla de Cartago community. With what has been provided in these conversations, seven categories were established on different elements regarding this beneficiary population. Additionally, five evaluation questions were formulated aimed at the elderly person to find out their perception about the activity "Friends from a distance." This work was received positively by the older adult population. All of the beneficiaries had an excellent perception of the initiative, as did the student body participating.
