Descrizione:With efficiency and accountability as rising priorities, the article examines how certain administrative practices can threaten the autonomy of the Judiciary. It highlights that New Public Management, in its effort to improve governmental effectiveness through private sector tools, may conflict with judicial independence, compromising the impartiality and quality of justice. The summary analyzes how efficiency and austerity policies, especially in times of crisis, limit judicial resources and undermine its independence by making it vulnerable to external influences. The text reveals the tension between efficient administrative reforms and the preservation of judicial integrity, reflecting on the need for a balance that respects the peculiarities of its function without compromising its independence.
