Описание:Postcolonial theater in India has established itself as an artistic expression that addresses a variety of themes. Some postcolonial playwrights have drawn inspiration from traditional folkloric elements. Likewise, Indian theater has developed, in part, as a platform for social and political criticism and protest. Girish Karnad’s Naga-Mandala: Play with a Cobra is a groundbreaking play in terms of its subject matter, the incorporation of folkloric elements, and the way these elements are used to advocate for Indian women.
