Descripción:This exploratory study was aimed at learning about the digital skills acquired by a group of students from the course entitled Comprehensive Preparation of Documents III for the Office Management and Commercial Education Programs at Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica. The objective was to obtain the opinions of students regarding the importance given to the development of digital skills in the university education process. As part of the principal results, there is evidence of relatively insufficient initial training in digital skills, which are considered necessary to better perform in contemporary society. The consequences are associated with the lack of knowledge and skills, as well as some students’ attitudes that hinder the performance required to face the challenges of today’s world.
