Respect for human rights contributesdirectly to reducing the causes of tension andinstability in a country, the most dangeroussource of the latter is the economic, so that USsupport for human rights is also given from aneconomic dimension, besides the promotionof human rights it is the only one who can offera long term solution of one of the major issueson the international agenda: the problemof refugees. |
