Descripción:This article analyzes the curriculum approach of Citizenship Education, considering the experience of four Latin American teachers from Chile, Costa Rica and Perú. The investigation of the different parts of the curriculum theory, such as the political context of the region, allowed to find some similarities between the three countries. These results help to understand the challenges that the secondary school has, using a comparative perspective of the results obtained from a conversatory with three teachers from Chile, Costa Rica and Perú. This investigation has as the main objective a first approach to rethink the traditional curriculum and what this can trigger if it is used an open space classroom, the student’s experience and the closest educational context.
