Descripción: | This paper analyzes the trajectory of Marco Le Maire in Modern Dance, and how through it, the hegemonic notions of masculinity, persistent at the end of the twentieth century in Costa Rica, enter into dispute. In this sense, the research methodology implemented investigates and qualitatively links Marco Le Maire's experience with more general phenomena such as the construction of masculinities, the limits they impose on certain subjects, and how they affect those phenomena. Finally, the research seeks to contribute to the knowledge of Costa Rican dance as a public space for constructing and deconstructing different notions of masculinity. |
