| Περιγραφή: | This article addresses a historical event that has been slightly studied, but often mentioned. In order to do so, this paper presents an interpretative synthesis and a characterization of the mobilization that oppose the contract between the Costa Rican State and the Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA), whose leading character was the student movement. The research was accomplished by the description and examination of the movement, investigating its causes, composition, discourses, forms of action and consequences. In addition, this paper analyzes the main responses given -through discourses and actions- by the national contenders of the movement: the government agencies and the media. |
