विवरण:The paper examines how generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) reconfigurescommunication processes in the world of work, displacingthe linear Shannon–Weaver model with a socio-technical assemblagein which humans and algorithms co-produce messages and decisions. It situates Latin America’s uneven GenAI adoption—driven by infrastructureand skills gaps—and proposes a governance agenda: data protection, transparency and audits, labor regulatory frameworks, and redressmechanisms. It concludes by outlining five trends shaping the future ofwork—automated communication management, predictive communication, hybrid human–machine ecosystems, organizational regulation, and ethical governance—and argues that countries such as Costa Ricamust combine technological efficiency with inclusion, accountability, andmeaningful human oversight.
