Postmodernism in the foundations of the Costa Rican educational system

Beskrivning:This essay is intended to establish that the paradigm of complexity, which is an element in the new  foundation of current educational policy in Costa Rica, is postmodernist. To do so, a methodology of textual analysis is used. The texts include philosophical, political, and educational documentsand academic articles. After  presenting a series of critical reflections, the essay concludes with an invitation to reflect on education in this country as it is visualized from the points of view of postmodernism and complex thinking.
