Descripción:The phenomenon of human trafficking in Mexico is growing, supported by conditions of inequality and violence that affect various population groups, and it has multiple expressions. Regarding girls, boys, and adolescents, it impacts their biopsychosocial development, leading to an escalation of high-impact violence. This reality reveals the necessity of having professionals in the legal, social, and psychological fields with comprehensive and complex perspectives, capable of engaging with the social reality and taking actions to address the phenomenon and related issues. This article aims to present the academic and formative process carried out within the framework of the project «Childhood Issues in Contemporary Mexico» (PNMC), which has been developed at the National School of Social Work (ENTS) of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) since 2016. This project focuses on the academic strengthening of undergraduate social workers who wish to specialize in human trafficking, specifically that which targets girls, boys, and adolescents. Throughout the document, key points are identified regarding the epistemic, methodological, and ontological foundations in addressing the phenomenon of human trafficking. The pedagogical activities designed and implemented in the educational process are described, and the article concludes by reflecting on the impact it has on the involved students.
