The redesign of a curriculum for the Master's of Education: Master’s in Education with Emphasis on English Learning

Descripción:This article includes the systematization of the redesign process of the Master's in Education curriculum with Emphasis on  English Learning from the National University. Several Inputs are presented to justify why a redesign, derived from the execution of a workshop and curricular updates. International and national trends in the field of teaching English are shown, focused on improving the quality of language teaching and learning, based on curricular flexibility, emerging methods and approaches. The particular contribution of the postgraduate program, its nature, the elements of curricular innovation and the components of pedagogical training are identified. Finally, the foundation of the redesign is exposed through the object of study and the purpose of knowledge, as well as the different disciplinary areas and curricular axes that support the new plan.
