Perception of Dominican students on the technological and communication skills of university teachers

Descripción:Objective: to explore the perception of Dominican students of the Master's Degree in Social Sciences at the Universidad Católica Nordestana (UCNE), in the Dominican Republic, regarding the technological and communicative capacities of their teachers, as a contribution to decision-making processes. training and teacher training. Method: A descriptive quantitative research was carried out, with a questionnaire of 12 closed questions to a population of 33 students, of the Master's degree. Results: Most of the students participating in the study consider that technological and communication skills are the most important skills to guarantee the success of academic processes in the so-called new education, which has been largely virtualized since COVID-19.  Conclusions: The Dominican university system requires policies that guarantee the technological update of the teacher, as well as the communicational relationship with the student body, in order to improve the higher education system in the face of the challenges of today's education.
