Kuvaus:In school education, collaborative work and the use of active methodologies are a means for teachers and students to participate dynamically in the teaching-learning process. In this sense, Project-Based Learning (PBL) allows for the development of a common theme among the participating subjects, starting with an initial question and the development of the content addressed to generate a final product. Therefore, the purpose of the educational experience is to present the collaborative work of teachers with experience in PBL through the theme of Chilean traditions and customs in the fifth-grade course of a rural school in southern Chile. To develop this methodology, the work is systematized through the contextualization of the place where PBL is implemented. To this end, the following phases are presented: a) organization; b) research; c) definition of objectives; d) implementation; and e) socialization of the product and evaluation. Among the results of the implementation, it is evident that the subjects have addressed sub-themes in pairs on the common theme, allowing for in-depth study from the various disciplines. Effective organization in the implementation of PBL at each stage is also evident, with positive feedback from teachers. However, among the areas for improvement are the time required for planning and implementation. Furthermore, for future research, it would be interesting to learn about different collaborative work strategies among teachers in order to address this methodology.
