Descripción:The coming years will be crucial for the cocoa value chain. The main issue is not just whether we will still be able to eat chocolate, but how we can support a sector on which between 40 and 50 million people depend worldwide, from Africa to Latin America by way of Asia. The cocoa value chain faces a range of challenges, and needs to adapt. CIRAD has pinpointed four priorities for the sustainable development of the chain and for informing the choices stakeholders need to make.
