Descripción:In this educational research, the results obtained from an evaluation proposal on the subject of surfaces and curves in space are presented through the construction of three-dimensional models for chessboard pieces with quadric surfaces in an Analytical Geometry course for the mathematics teaching major at Sede de Occidente, University of Costa Rica as part of a didactic strategy in virtue of the adoption of virtual learning in the context of COVID-19. This study responds to an experimental investigation implemented by means of a conceptual test applied as pretest and posttest to validate the proposal under learning models such as the Bao & Redish factor as well as the Rasch dichotomous method. In addition, a questionnaire was implemented to validate salient aspects submitted by the students of the course whowere of paramount importance in this investigative process.
